NYPD identifies victim of fatal shooting in 79th Precinct

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — Police identified the victim of a fatal shooting that occurred nearby Monday evening 456 Dekalb Avenue after the man's family was notified. According to an NYPD report, Shaquille Davis, 32, of Lafayette Avenue (the Lafayette Gardens apartment complex), was fatally shot in the head in an incident that erupted around 5:30 p.m. on September 30 in the 79th Precinct. Two other men, aged 26 and 33, were also critically injured. according to PIX11but their names were not revealed.

At the moment he was shot, Davis was texting with his son, whom he had recently picked up from school and then taken to the boy's grandmother. according to the Daily News.
