Report: WWE disappoints with big Raw spot
WWE

The Last Monster Standing match between Braun Strowman and Bronson Reed took place on the September 30 episode of WWE Raw.

The full fight can be seen below this story, including the moment the ring collapsed under the weight of both competitors.

It has now been reported that the spot did not go as originally planned and that the way it came about was not liked behind the scenes at WWE.

The report comes from WrestleVotes during a recent Backstage Pass Q&A session, stating:

“This is specifically about the broken ring spot. Let's just say it didn't go as planned. They didn't like how it came about. They loved the performance of these two guys, the game itself was highly praised, I mean the audience was enthralled.

“I just think the actual spot where the ring broke didn't have the impact that it had in the past, a lot of people expected it.

“I had a source who was there last night and the immediate internal reaction was, 'Ugh, not as big as we were hoping for.'

“I don’t know if it was a mechanical thing or just the effect that caused it.”

With the collapse of the ring, Seth Rollins would also return to WWE Raw and seek revenge on Bronson Reed.

Rollins had been banned from television after suffering multiple tsunamis from Reed.
