Suspect on the run after robbery at 7-Eleven in southeast Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – Police are searching for a suspect after a convenience store was robbed overnight.

According to police, a man wearing a hoodie and carrying a gun robbed Murray and Platte's 7-Eleven shortly before 5 a.m. After getting what it was about, the suspect ran away and is still going strong at the time of writing.

Officers are reviewing surveillance footage to get a more detailed description of the suspect.

The crime scene is still active at 5:30 a.m. with several police cars still in the parking lot.
