Grit: NFL players think going to Pittsburgh is league's worst road trip because 'their locker room smells like piss'

[Source] – “I would say Pittsburgh because their locker room smells like piss,” one player said.

“Pittsburgh. Even if it's my mood: tough. It's just always gray and bad weather there,” added another.

Yes, that fits. It feels like we get these anonymous player polls all the time, but I can't stop thinking about some NFL player out there saying Pittsburgh is the worst, too much piss. Has this guy ever been in a locker room, let alone a lineman? I assume that every locker room, no matter what sport, but especially football, should always smell like piss. There are guys who are willing to sweat their pants to gain an advantage.

Now it's worth noting that Pittsburgh didn't win the worst road trip, Green Bay did. But the players explained their reasoning and made it clear that this guy must be in a fancy city and play quarterback, wide receiver or defensive back. They are the only people who would complain about a place that smells like piss. You know it's not a linemen or a linebacker. Certainly not a full-back. Do you think Lorenzo Neal ever complained about some pee? Absolutely not.

Oh, and for the guy who says Pittsburgh is gray and crappy weather? Welcome to the Rust Belt, baby. No place like this. It's getting cold, but it's not snowing. You'll probably get slush and just want snow when it gets cold. They just accept that it will be gray and miserable for parts of the year. Do you think the city of Pittsburgh wants sunshine, rainbows and all that nice weather? Hell no. It's toughness and persistence. Piss smells and gray weather, welcome to Pittsburgh.
