Fares Ziam has apologized for unnecessary punches during his Performance of the Night win against Matt Frevola.

Last weekend we all had the opportunity to see some pretty incredible matchups at UFC Paris. They featured a mix of established talent and rising stars, with one of them pitting Fares Ziam against Matt Frevola.

It was a contest that many could have imagined going either way, but it was assumed that Ziam was more than capable of getting the job done. In the end, he did just that, earning a resounding knockout victory thanks to a completely devastating knee.

Ground and pound punches followed, which in retrospect he didn't think was necessary at all – an opinion shared by many fans.
