“I would like to get a submission win,” Thompson said. “I only had one submission win and that was before the UFC. I've really been working on my groundwork and I hope we get one either in this fight or the next one. There are opportunities everywhere, especially when he tries to shoot or take me down. There are things I can try to combat the fence I've been working on. Of my back that I've been working on.

“But I don’t know. He has an ego. I feel like he's the type of guy who thinks he can beat you at your own game. So I can somehow lure him down (to the ground). If the knockout happens, it happens. When a transmission happens, it happens. If not, then not. I’m ready for a three, five minute round war.”
