Barcelona v Young Boys: UEFA Champions League – BBC Sport

Robert Lewandowski scored twice as Barcelona comfortably defeated Young Boys in the Champions League.

Lewandowski scored for the hosts after eight minutes, firing Raphinha's ball across the penalty area into the back post.

Barca doubled their lead when Brazilian striker Raphinha converted the rebound from Pedri's blocked shot.

The La Liga leaders continued to dominate as Inigo Martinez added another goal three minutes later, heading home from close range following Pedri's precise free-kick.

Six minutes into the second half, Barca found the back of the net again when Lewandowski pushed Martinez's header over.

Joel Monteiro's shot hit the crossbar and was the away team's best chance of the game.

Young Boys' misery got worse in the 81st minute when Mohamed Ali Camara turned Alejandro Balde's cross into his own net.

Monteiro thought he had scored another goal for Young Boys in stoppage time, but his poor finish was ruled out for offside following a Video Assistant Referee (VAR) review.

The Swiss champions remain winless after losing 3-0 in their opening game against Aston Villa.
