Nintendo Switch players get two free games from a popular series never before released in English

As the prices of subscription services rise and the quality of games available declines, people are becoming increasingly skeptical of their value.

The price of Xbox Game Pass has increased tremendously recently, and the move to Xbox Game Pass Standard left many people without new games.

While its competitor PS Plus has remained consistent, there is only one subscription from the big three that is improving month on month.

Nintendo Switch Online has a library of almost 300 games for you to play, and games are only added, never removed.

Additionally, Nintendo Switch Online has seen a number of games never before released in the West that can be played by English-speaking gamers for the first time.

This month, two games were added to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack library, the service's more expensive tier.

Both games come from the F-Zero series, which hasn't seen a new entry since 2004, with the exception of the battle royale title F-Zero 99, which came out last year.

F-Zero 99 reuses tracks from previous games, but changes up the gameplay by eliminating players with each round.

In fact, the two newly added games are the last two titles in the series and were only available in Japan.

They have been translated into English for the first time and are opening up to a whole new audience.

Both games come from the Game Boy Advance library and feature the ultra-fast racing gameplay the series is known for.

F-Zero is so called because the cars are ranked above F1 cars in the league.

Racing is fast-paced and players must balance their boosts with their health as cars take damage as they reach the edges of the map.

Vehicles have rapid momentum as they hover over the track and can gain health by sticking to the edges.

The first game to be added is F-Zero – GP Legends, which allows players to compete in various F-Zero style Grands Prix.

There is even a story mode with the well-known character Captain Falcon.

The other game added this month is F-Zero Climax, the final mainline game developed for the series.

Both racing games will be added to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pass Friday, October 11, 2024, and you can download them via the Game Boy Advance app.
