Tyreek Hill and Justin Jefferson were voted by the players as the “building blocks” of the NFL’s top squad | News, results, highlights, statistics and rumors

Wide receivers are as important as ever in today's NFL, and players acknowledged that in an anonymous survey released Wednesday by Mike Jones and the Athletic NFL staff.

Players were asked to name the league's best “building block,” and Miami Dolphins star Tyreek Hill received the most votes with 15. Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson came in second with 13.5 votes.

“I have to take the highest paid non-quarterback, and that’s Justin Jefferson,” one player said.
