Man charged in fatal shooting at Florence apartment

FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) – A man is behind bars after a shooting in Florence left one person dead.

Florence police have charged 23-year-old Andrew Pearson with involuntary manslaughter and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.

Pearson is accused of shooting and killing someone at an apartment in the 700 block of South Dargan Street on Sept. 25.

The victim's name has not yet been released.

The investigation is ongoing.
