WCC has been selected to host the 2028 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship West Regional at Chase Center

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA. – The NCAA has selected the West Coast Conference, Golden State Warriors and Chase Center to host the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship West Regional in 2028. The event will take place at the Chase Center, home of the Warriors and the WNBA's Golden State Valkyries in San Francisco.

The NCAA granted the WCC the opportunity to host the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship for the fourth time since 2013. The conference hosted the first and second rounds of the men's postseason basketball tournament in 2013 and 2019 and the West Regional in 2017. All three of these events were hosted in partnership with the San Jose Sports Authority and held at the SAP Center in San Jose.

The 2028 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship West Regional will be the third time the Chase Center will serve as a host site. The facility, which opened in 2019, hosted the 2022 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship West Regional. Chase Center will also host the 2025 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship West Regional, with the Pac-12 Conference serving as host of that event.
