Currently undefeated and boasts the area’s top 6A offense. 2 Duncanville 6A 2 Ranked fourth in the nation by MaxPreps and No. 1 in the state. Five-star quarterback Keelon Russell has thrown 20 touchdowns through four games for the 3-peat-minded defending 6A Division I state champion. 3 DeSoto 6A 1 Defending 6A Division II state champion with the area’s top 6A scoring offense through Week 5. The state’s fourth-ranked 6A team. 4 Southlake Carroll 6A 3 Perennial title contender on pace to claim another district title. 6A Division II state semifinalist in 2023 that ranks fourth in the area in scoring among 6A teams. 5 Allen 6A 8 Made a run to the regional finals last season and hasn’t lost a game this year. The state’s ninth-ranked 6A team. 6 Denton Ryan 5A 5 The state’s top-ranked 5A Division I team. Currently undefeated. 7 Frisco Lone Star 5A 9 Talented roster on pace to repeat as a district champion this season. The area’s No.2 Class 5A team. 8 South Oak Cliff 5A 6 Has appeared in the last three 5A Division II state championships, winning two state titles. Averaging 415.3 yards of offense per game. 14 Waxahachie 6A 25 Averaging 292.4 passing yards per game thanks to sophomore quarterback Jerry Meyer III (1,447 yards, 10 touchdowns). 15 Richland 5A 14 Has one of the area’s top offenses in Class 5A. Quarterback Drew Kates has thrown for 1,396 yards and 14 touchdowns. 16 Highland Park 5A 10 Making an impact in 5A Division I after spending the last two seasons in Class 6A. Averaging 380.6 yards of offense per game as state’s sixth-ranked 5A Division I team 17 Rockwall 6A 22 Junior quarterback Brent Rickert has stepped up in place of injured starter Landyn Locke, having accounted for 856 yards and 12 touchdowns. 18 Wylie East 6A 32 Undefeated through Week 5 of the Texas high school football season. Boasts a top 20 offense among the area’s 6A teams. 19 Lancaster 6A 17 Off to a 2-0 start in District 11-6A after moving up to 6A this year. Was a regional finalist in 5A Division I last season. 20 Lewisville 6A 33 Opened District 5-6A play with a 27-21 win over a talented Flower Mound Marcus team. 21 Flower Mound Marcus 6A 85 The area’s 16th-ranked team in Class 6A 22 Flower Mound 6A 81 Off to a 3-1 start and challenged state-ranked Denton Guyer in a 44-36 Week 5 loss 23 Melissa 5A 20 Has won four straight games and started District 4-5AII play 3-0 24 Prosper Walnut Grove 5A NR Undefeated so far in its first UIL season after playing an outlaw schedule last year, when the school opened. Has the area’s top 5A offense, averaging 532.3 yards per game. 25 Fort Worth All Saints TAPPS 67 Led by transfer quarterback Gavin Parkhurst, a Rice pledge who has accounted for 17 touchdowns, All Saints is off to a 5-0 start and owns a win over Parish Episcopal, winner of five straight TAPPS Division I state titles. 26 Frisco Emerson 5A 27 After a state semifinal appearance in its second season of varsity football, Emerson is 4-1 and has one of the top defenses in the area, allowing 11.2 points per game. 27 North Forney 6A NR North Forney has followed up a 9-3 season with a 3-2 start that includes a win over 2023 state semifinalist and rival Forney. Quarterback Legend Bey already has 12 touchdown runs. 28 Forney 6A 15 Four-star running back Javian Osborne has run for 569 yards and 11 touchdowns in five games as Forney looks for its fourth straight winning season. 29 Argyle 5A 26 Argyle has reached at least the regional final in nine of the last 14 seasons, and a 3-1 team is seeking its 16th consecutive season with nine or more wins. 30 Lovejoy 5A 28 Seven-time state champion Todd Dodge is in his first year as Lovejoy’s coach and has turned first-year starting quarterback Jacob Janecek into a star (16 touchdown passes in four games) in an offense that averages 50.5 points per game. 31 Mansfield 6A 48 Mansfield is 5-0 for the third straight season, but the big test will be whether it can upset nationally ranked North Crowley to win the District 3-6A title. 32 Plano East 6A 69 With Travis Agee leading area 6A players in rushing (797 yards), Plano East is 4-1 and has a shot at its first double-digit win total since the 2006 team finished 10-3. 33 Frisco Reedy 5A 30 Star running back Triston Airy missed the first three games and had only two carries last week, but Jarrett Walker has stepped up and run for 402 yards and five touchdowns for a 4-1 team. 34 Arlington Seguin 5A 64 Seguin is 5-0 and among eight Dallas-area Class 5A teams that are undefeated. Star wide receiver Carterrious Brown is a big reason why, as the SMU pledge has 22 catches for 469 yards and nine touchdowns in an offense that averages in an offense that averages 43.8 points. 35 Argyle Liberty Christian TAPPS 24 With Cowboys legend Jason Witten as head coach and son Cooper Witten a five-star recruit who is rated the No. 1 sophomore safety in the nation, Liberty Christian is 3-1 and looking to dethrone Parish Episcopal as the TAPPS Division I state champion. 36 Colleyville Heritage 5A 36 Colleyville Heritage lost star wide receiver Braden Blueitt to a season-ending torn ACL, but the team is 3-2 and still has a good shot to make the playoffs for the 19th consecutive season. 37 Anna 5A 23 After winning the 4A Division I state title last year, Anna is 1-3 in its first year in 5A. But the losses have been by a combined 11 points and have come against powerhouses Oakland (Tenn.), Lovejoy and Melissa. 38 Red Oak 5A 18 Four-star wide receiver Taz Williams Jr., committed to Baylor, is out for the rest of the season with a meniscus injury. But at 2-2, Red Oak still has a shot at a winning record for the sixth time in seven years after a four-year stretch in which it was 5-35. 39 Midlothian 5A 45 Having won at least eight games in five of the last six years, Midlothian is 4-1 and averaging 279.6 rushing yards per game, second-best among area 5A teams. 40 McKinney North 5A 40 Greg Ard is the top 5A rusher in the area with 881 yards and 11 touchdowns in five games. This would be the fourth straight season that McKinney North has had a 1,000-yard rusher. 41 Mansfield Timberview 5A 29 Timberview led area 5A teams in scoring defense last year, allowing 11.3 points per game during a 9-2 season. Timberview is just 2-3, but the defense has been solid once again, allowing an average of 17.8 points. 42 West Mesquite 5A NR West Mesquite is 5-0 and seeking its first undefeated regular season since 1995. This is a team that was 11-39 the last five years. 43 The Colony 5A 66 The Colony is 3-2 and is trying to win more than five games for the first time since 2019. That was the last time The Colony made the playoffs. 44 Parish Episcopal TAPPS 19 Parish Episcopal has lost just three games to private schools since the start of the 2019 season. One of those was to Fort Worth All Saints this year, but Parish still has a shot to win a sixth consecutive TAPPS Division I state championship with Purdue pledge Sawyer Anderson having thrown 16 touchdown passes and averaging 347.2 passing yards in the first five games. 45 Cedar Hill 6A 16 After reaching the 6A Division II Region II final last year, big things were expected of Cedar Hill. It is 2-3 but still has a shot to make the playoffs for the 18th time in 20 years. 46 Sachse 6A 50 Led by three-star Boise State pledge Brendon Haygood (639 yards, seven touchdowns rushing) and five-star Texas pledge Kaliq Lockett (four receiving TDs), Sachse is 4-1 and trying to make the playoffs for the 10th consecutive season. 47 Celina 4A 39 Celina has won eight state titles, tied for fourth-most in UIL 11-man football history. As it seeks its first state championship since 2007, Celina is 5-0 as running backs Logan Gutierrez and Harrison Williams have combined to run for 894 yards and 12 touchdowns and quarterback Bowe Bentley has accounted for 18 touchdowns (14 passing). 48 Frisco Panther Creek 4A 38 In its third season of varsity football, Panther Creek is 4-1 and ranks second among area 4A/3A teams in passing yards per game (259.2) and fourth in scoring (39.2 points per game). 49 McKinney 6A 21 A defense led by five-star linebacker Riley Pettijohn, committed to Ohio State, is allowing just 227.3 total yards per game and 106.5 yards per game on the ground. 50 Hebron 6A 82 Hebron is 2-2 but has played Jesuit, Southlake Carroll, Lancaster and Coppell. Those teams were a combined 40-13 last year, and Lancaster was a regional finalist and Carroll was a state semifinalist. 51 Justin Northwest 6A 57 Has started the season 4-0, while winning by at least 17 points each game. Running backs Ryder Norton and Nate Jean have combined to run for 731 yards and eight touchdowns. 52 Frisco Wakeland 5A 44 Running back Aidan Poole has starred for Wakeland (2-3, District 5-5 Div. I) with 569 yards and seven touchdowns. Wakeland has suffered district losses to Frisco Reedy and McKinney North. 53 Carrollton Creekview 5A NR Creekview is 5-0 to start the year. Quarterback Carson Garcia has completed 53 of 71 passes for 756 yards with 10 touchdowns and only one interception. 54 WT. White 5A 76 White had its first loss of the season to West Mesquite last week. Before that, White had won it’s first four games, while scoring at least 31 points 55 Keller Timber Creek 6A 61 Quarterback Carson Porter is tied for fourth in touchdown passes (14) and sixth in passing yards (1,251) among Dallas area 6A players.They started off the season by winning four straight games, but the team was recently beaten by Southlake Carroll. 56 Rockwall-Heath 6A 35 Rockwall-Heath has started the season 2-3, but has had a tough schedule facing Highland Park and Prosper. 57 Jesuit 6A 42 Jesuit bounced back last week after a tough loss against Highland Park. 58 Midlothian Heritage 5A 37 Heritage has scored 62 or more points in its last two games after losing his first three. 59 Frisco Centennial 5A 77 Adam Schmid had led Centennial to a 3-2 record, while combining for 890 yards and 11 touchdowns. 60 Lake Dallas 4A 53 Lake Dallas (4-1) has two wins this season scoring 44 or more points. 61 Kimball 4A 54 Kimball (3-2) has won its last two games by a combined 84 points. 62 Carrollton Newman Smith 5A 52 Newman Smith (3-1) has scored at least 28 points in everygame this season. 63 Terrell 5A 55 Terrell (3-2) has two games this season where they’ve held its opponent under seven points. 64 Arlington Martin 6A 31 Martin (2-3) has bounced back in its last two games after losing to three formidable foes during the first three weeks of the season. 65 Carter 4A 46 Carter started the season as a top 4A team and dropped out of the rankings after a 48-13 loss to Panther Creek, but two shutout wins over district foes show it’s still a contender. 66 Crowley 6A 47 Crowley wide receiver Antayvious Ellis had led them to a 2-3 record, while hauling in 34 passes for 560 yards and six touchdowns. 67 Lake Highlands 6A 49 Lake Highlands (2-2) had a bounceback win against Richard Pearce last week. 68 Keller 6A 59 Keller (2-3) picked up a win agisnt rival Keller Central on Friday. 69 Aubrey 4A 58 Aubrey (3-2) opened the season with a 33-31 win agaisnt Sunnyvale. They are led by quarterback Brock Temple, who had 935 yards and 12 touchdowns. 70 Plano Prestonwood TAPPS 71 Ranked fourth in the most recent private school rankings. Prestwood (3-1) is on a three game winning streak. 71 Arlington Bowie 6A 56 Bowie has bounced back in its last two games after losing 72-33 to Coppell. 72 Northwest Eaton 6A 83 Eaton is coming off a 38-20 victory agaisnt Hurst L.D. Bell. They are led by running back Micah Rivers, who has 421yards and one touchdown. 73 Hurst LD Bell 6A 60 After starting the season with a 23-21 win against Weatherford, Hurst L.D. Bell has lost its last four games. 74 Mansfield Summit 5A 51 Summit (2-2) picked up a close win agaisnt Grapevine last week. 75 Dallas First Baptist TAPPS NR Ranked fifth in the most recent private school rankings. First Baptist’s defense is anchored by junior linebacker Joseph Martinez. 76 Arlington 6A 63 First place in district 8-6A after a 4-1 start. Arlington is a mid-season surprise in class 6A after a 4-6 season last year. 77 Samuell 5A 65 Samuell opened the year with a 70-64 win against Molina and are 1-1 in district 5-5AII after beating Seagoville 28-21 last week. 78 Frisco 5A 68 Responded well to a 26-21 win over Centennial with a 27-26 win over Heritage. Led by linebacker Reed Engleman, who is the leading tackler. 79 Frisco Heritage 5A 72 Went 2-1 to open the season before losing to district rivals Frisco and Lone Star. Wide reciever Tatum Bell Jr. has 478 recieving yards through five games. 80 Crandall 5A 73 Crandall is 5-0 to start the year and leads division 6-5AII. Sophomore standout wide reciever Jeremiah Douglas has 496 recieving yards through five games. 81 Kennedale 4A 74 Picked up its first win of the year last week with a 18-13 victory over Dunbar. Running back Ja’Marrion Garret had 84 rushing yards in the win. 82 Prosper Rock Hill 6A 87 Back-to-back wins over Princeton and Plano West have Prosper Rock Hill sitting at 2-1 in district 6-6A 83 Plano 6A 99 After a 59-35 win over Princeton, it will look to beat rival Plano West this week to start its first win streak of the season. 84 Princeton 6A NR Princeton’s biggest win of the year came in a 55-35 victory over Garland Naaman Forest. 85 South Grand Prairie 6A 94 South Grand Prairie is 3-2 overall and 1-1 in the district. They’ll look to bounce back this week from a loss to district leader Arlington. 86 Rowlett 6A 96 Rowlett has rattled off three straight wins and is second in district 9-6A. Their largest margin of victory came in a 45-14 win over South Garland. 87 Richardson Pearce 6A 88 Started the season with wins over Wylie and Plano West and is 2-2. Richardson Pearce is still searching for its first district win. 88 Kaufman 5A 91 Back-to-back wins over Ennis and Terrell have Kaufman in first place in district 6-5AII. Undefeated Crandall awaits this week. 89 Ennis 5A 43 Ennis has gone 1-4, including a season-opening 42-14 loss to rival Waxahachie. 90 Garland Naaman Forest 6A 93 Picked up their first ditrict win of the year last week with a 28-7 win over Garland. 91 Richardson Berkner 6A 62 Opened the season 2-1 before losing its first district game to Richardson. Berkner is led by senior quarterback Cornell McGee IV. 92 Birdville 5A 78 Pulled out a 27-24 victory over Granbury in Week 3 for only district win of the year so far. 93 Royse City 6A 84 Royse City is 2-3 on the year with wins over Braswell and Weatherford. Still searching for its first district win. 94 Denton Braswell 6A 79 Denton Braswell is 2-2 this year with wins over Boswell and Little Elm. They are 1-0 in district 5-6A. 95 Grapevine 5A 70 Grapevine is still searching for its first win of the year in a tough 5AII division. 96 Garland 6A 75 Garland is 2-3 on the year with its best win being a 27-26 overtime victory over rival South Garland. 97 Richardson 6A 89 Richardson is 3-1 on the year with consecutive wins over Lake Ridge and Berkner heading into this week. 98 Woodrow Wilson 5A 90 Woodrow Wilson has won four straight games and is 2-0 in district 5-5AII after a 41-0 win over Jeferson last week. 99 Mansfield Legacy 6A 86 Mansfield Legacy is still searching for its first win of the season in challenging district 3-6A. 100 Mesquite 6A 97 A 24-17 victory over Mesquite Horn helped Mesquite bounce back after being shut out 71-0 by DeSoto.
