Aston Villa vs Bayern Munich live updates: Champions League predictions, team news and current affairs

Aston Villa is unbalanced at right-back. Manager Unai Emery is obsessed with refining Villa down to the last detail, but strangely right-back remains a long-standing weak point that Emery has yet to iron out.

The squad is undoubtedly thin there. Matty Cash – the only senior specialist option – is injured. In his absence, Emery continued to rely on alternatives: Lamare Bogarde and 18-year-old Kosta Nedeljkovic.

In the 2-2 draw with Ipswich Town, natural centre-back Ezri Konsa stepped in and Ipswich were determined in transition, punishing the lack of space by exploiting one of Villa's few blind spots.

There are now eight clean sheets in their last 44 league games and while a first draw of the season doesn't require drastic changes, right-back is a problem Emery needs to solve.
