Quick thoughts

Earning 10,000 Bonus Ultimate Rewards on $400 in spending is a great return, especially if your booking is over $500 and you're also eligible for Chase's $100 credit offer provided for in the account statement. This separate Chase offer appears to be valid for any type of booking through Chase Travel, while this 10,000 bonus points offer only applies to hotel stays.

Please note that chain hotel stays booked through Chase Travel are considered an Online Travel Agency (OTA) booking. This means that your reservation will not earn you points with the hotel chain, earn elite night credits, receive status benefits, etc. Ideally, therefore, the best way to take advantage of this offer is by staying at an independent hotel or at a chain You may not be interested in earning points or receiving status benefits, but it might still be worth booking through the Chase Travel portal instead of booking directly with your preferred chains.
