Where Texas players were selected in PFF's 2025 NFL Mock Draft

The on-field success that Texas football coach and head coach Steve Sarkisian has achieved over the past few years has translated into better results in the NFL Draft each offseason. Texas has had a first-round pick in the NFL Draft in each of the last two classes, including multiple first-round draft picks last spring.

Texas is expected to select at least one player in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft, with several early entrants expected to compete at the next level next spring.

In Pro Football Focus' latest 2025 NFL Mock Draft (released October 2), two Longhorns players were selected in the first round.

The first Longhorn selected in the first round of PFF's 2025 NFL Mock Draft was junior offensive tackle Kelvin Banks Jr., who went to the Cleveland Browns with the fifth overall pick. After the first five weeks of the season, Banks is the highest-rated pass-blocking offensive tackle in the P4.

He is also the only SEC offensive tackle this season who hasn't allowed a single QB hit or sack. Banks fills the Browns' need as a reliable and highly competent pass-blocking left tackle, while helping Cleveland fill one of their biggest needs on the offensive side of the ball: blocking for starting quarterback Deshaun Watson.

Banks is the second offensive tackle off the field in this mock draft, behind Will Campbell, the LSU Tigers' preseason All-American who was selected third overall by the New England Patriots.

The second of two Longhorns players selected in the first round of this 2025 mock draft is speedy junior wide receiver Isaiah Bond. That mock calls for Bond to be selected 22nd overall by the Denver Broncos of the AFC West, joining former Longhorns colleagues such as wide receiver Lil'Jordan Humphrey and safeties Brandon Jones and PJ Locke.

Bond is one of the fastest and most elusive wideouts in this draft class. He is Texas' new speedster in the receiving corps who could easily be selected in the first round of the 2025 draft after former Longhorns star Xavier Worthy broke the 40-yard dash record at the NFL Combine last spring.

The Broncos need another speedy playmaker in the receiving corps, and Bond could help them fill that need on offense.

Perhaps the biggest surprise of this mock draft was the exclusion of Texas redshirt junior quarterback Quinn Ewers in the first round. According to many mock drafts in early 2025, Ewers will be a top 10 or 15 pick next spring.
