Victim of Saturday's double shooting in Yakima identified

Yakima, Wash. – The victims of Saturday's double shooting in Yakima have been identified.

Yakima police have identified the victims as 43-year-old Dominique Mitchell and 47-year-old Andrea Alcazar.

On Saturday, September 28, Yakima Police responded to a report of shots fired during a domestic violence incident in the 1000 block of Prospect Way, where they found both Mitchell and Alcazar suffering from gunshot wounds. Mitchell was pronounced dead at the scene and Alcazar was taken to the hospital for treatment, where she later died from her injuries.

Although the investigation is ongoing, Yakima police believe both Mitchell and Alcazar shot each other in Saturday's incident. And there is no evidence that anyone else was involved in the incident. If you have any information about this case, please call Yakima Police.
