SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA. – Last weekend was the 4th Annual SoCal Underclass Top Prospects Games, the premier invitation-only event in California, held at Cunningham Stadium on the beautiful University of San Diego campus. This event brought together top 27-28 players in one location to complete the summer schedule in the Southern California area.

The talent on display in San Diego was quite impressive. The event began with professional training for all position players/two-way players in attendance. Players underwent athletic testing on the Swift platforms, including 10-30-60 yard sprint times and RSI/vertical jump tests. Blast motion sensors were used during all batting practice swings to capture swing metrics data, while Trackman technologies provided Prep Baseball California staff with data on each player's batted balls throughout the batting practice portion and on pitchers during the game.

Additionally, during the defensive portion of practice, players trained at their positions to capture arm strength velocities while simultaneously evaluating each player's actions on defense. At the conclusion of practice, Prep Baseball California staff divided the players into teams and played a 13-inning simulated game to provide our staff with ample opportunity to further improve their evaluations of the players present in the game.
