Buccaneers Falcons first touchdown market on DraftKings

Stan Son takes a look at the first touchdown market on DraftKings Sportsbook for Thursday Night Football.

The short answer? Probably not.

But the odds of it happening are greater than Lloyd Christmas, and the odds reflect that. At DraftKings Sportsbook, Bijan Robinson is the favorite to score the first touchdown at +425. Tyler Allgeier only has one fewer red zone chances than Bijan this season. Next is Mike Evans at +800. Otton is down at +1700, the tenth lowest odds.

Here is my case:

I think Baker Mayfield will have a great game. Atlanta ranks last in pressure on the quarterback and is tenth in success rate in the passing game. Sure, Chris Godwin leads the Buccaneers with 34 goals this season and is a model of consistency with eight, eight, nine and nine goals in four games. Mike Evans is in second place with 29 and is coming off Week 4 where he was peppered with 14 targets. Otton is third on the team with 21 targets, having received just two in each of the first two competitions. In the last two weeks he has achieved eight and nine goals.

Evans and Godwin both received two red zone looks last week, but Otton received at least one red zone look in each of the last three games.

While goals are fairly predictable, touchdowns are the complete opposite. For a player who can see eight to nine targets, I assume twice the probability.
