Alabama releases first availability report of Vanderbilt week: Will Kendrick Law play?

In accordance with the SEC's new mandated policy, Alabama Football released its first availability report for Vanderbilt Week on Wednesday evening.

The report only lists two players, WR Kendrick Law and LB Justin Jefferson, both of whom suffered minor injuries during the Georgia game.

Head coach Kalen DeBoer called Law daily during the weekly SEC conference call on Wednesday, and that status holds true as he is officially listed as questionable.

Jefferson is listed as probable in the report.

It's good news for Alabama fans that DeVonta Smith and Red Morgan, who both suffered injuries during last week's game, are not listed in the report. Neither are the three players listed in last week's report.

LB Qua Russaw and Jeremiah Alexander and RB Richard Young were listed as “probable” in the report last week, although all three were downgraded to “questionable” in the final report before kickoff on Saturday. That should mean all three are healthy and ready to go to Nashville.

Vanderbilt's availability report was also released and is far more comprehensive than Alabama's:

DL Zaylin Wood – Out
CB Mark Davis – Out
OL Grayson Morgan – Out
EDGE Boubacar Diakite – Questionable
WR Joseph McVay – Questionable
WR Loic Fouonji – Probably
S Dontae Carter – Probably
DL Khordae Sydnor – Probably

All SEC schools are required to submit official availability reports on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday in weeks in which they play a conference opponent, with a final report required no later than 90 minutes before the start of the game.
