IAM members strike at Molson Coors Beverage Company in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE, October 2, 2024 – The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) Midwest Territory releases the following statement regarding striking IAM members at Molson Coors Beverage Company in Milwaukee:

Approximately 43 IAM members at Molson Coors Beverage Company in Milwaukee rejected the company's latest offer and voted overwhelmingly to strike on October 1 as the contract expired at midnight. The IAM represents brewery mechanics and machine repair workers, represented by IAM Locals 66 and 510 in Milwaukee.

The main issues of this strike include:

Business: The company's economic offering does not keep pace with inflation, does not match the wages of other professions at Molson Coors and other regional benchmarks.

Work-life balance: The employer insists on an alternative work schedule and other concessions that limit our members' flexibility and negatively impact their work-life balance.

The IAM provides our members with the resources they need and continues to support them in their fight for a fair contract that reflects their critical contribution to Molson Coors' success. We call on Molson Coors to come to the negotiating table to quickly resolve these differences.

The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers is one of North America's largest and most diverse industrial unions, representing approximately 600,000 active and retired members in the aerospace, defense, airline, railroad, transportation, health care, automotive and other industries.
