Sumter deputies arrest another man in the shooting death of a Georgia teenager

SUMTER, SC (WIS) – Another person has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of a 16-year-old boy.

Officials with the Sumter County Sheriff's Office (SCSO) said they arrested 19-year-old Henry Brown on September 27 for his alleged role in a violent incident on September 3.

In the incident, six teenagers were shot at in a car in the Dalzell area of ​​Sumter County. The shooting left a 16-year-old injured and 16-year-old Jayvion Jones of Hampton, Georgia, killed.

Henry Brown is the second person arrested in connection with the murder, following the arrest of 17-year-old Jonathan Brown on September 11th.

He was charged with murder, five counts of attempted murder, discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle and possession of a weapon during a crime of violence.

Henry Brown was taken to the Sumter County Sheriff's Office Detention Center. SCSO said his bail was denied.
