Medina scores in the home game

ALBION – Back on their home court, the Albion College men's soccer team settled for a 1-1 draw against Great Lakes Christian College. The British remained ahead in shots and corners, but were unable to score the decisive goal in the second half.

In the 23rd minute, second-year student Lucas Media got the Brits on the board. His shot from distance sneaked past the legs of the GLCC keeper and gave the hosts an early 1-0 lead.

A defensive mishap allowed the Crusaders to tie the game late in the first half, going into halftime with just one goal each.

Despite 21 shots, Albion couldn't find the winner. The Brits also had 15 corners, compared to none for GLCC.

Next Wednesday, the Brits host Trine University at 7 p.m., kicking off MIAA action.
