Indians claim FAC victory over MTHS

A strong second half gave the Hillsboro Indians a Frontier Athletic Conference victory on Tuesday night, with the Indians defending their home field and defeating Miami Trace 5-1.

Hillsboro led 1-0 at halftime and scored four goals in the second half.

Sophomore Kameron Evers led the Indians with a hat trick by scoring three goals. Senior Judah Brandyberry and senior Austin Bledsoe also scored a goal each.

Junior Cooper Swope totaled two assists, senior Wesley Bailey also had two assists and Evers had one assist.

Senior keeper Ryan Fender finished the game with six saves, with one of his saves being a penalty save.

The win improves the Indians' FAC record to 4-3, and the Indians are 9-5 overall.

HHS lost to the Lady Panthers by one goal

The Hillsboro Lady Indians hosted the Miami Trace Lady Panthers on Tuesday night and lost 3-2 to the visitors in Frontier Athletic Conference action.

This is the second time this season that the Lady Panthers have defeated the Lady Indians in FAC play.

With the loss, HHS is now 7-7-1 overall and 3-5-1 in the FAC.

McClain is eliminated against Chillicothe

The McClain Lady Tigers lost to the Chillicothe Lady Cavaliers 7-0 on the road in a Frontier Athletic Conference game on Tuesday night.

CHS scored four goals in the first half and three more in the second half. Chillicothe has defeated McClain twice this season.

The loss gives MHS an overall record of 9-3-2 and a record of 4-3-2 in the FAC.

Tigers fall prey to Chillicothe

The McClain Tigers lost 8-0 to the Chillicothe Cavaliers at CHS in Frontier Athletic Conference play on Tuesday.

CHS has won both meetings against the Tigers this season.

The loss drops the Tigers to a 0-7-0 record in the FAC, with an overall record of 2-11-0.
