Memorial Hermann 10 traffic disruptions for Texas on Saturday, October 5th

The 19th Annual Memorial Hermann 10 for Texas 10-Mile Road Run, 7th Annual 3.1 Armadillo Run 5K and 16th Annual One 4 Texas Kids' Fun Run are scheduled for Saturday, October 5, 2024, beginning at 7 a.m . The USA Track and Field (USATF-sanctioned event will see more than 1,100 registered participants race through the Woodlands and make their way to the finish line at Northshore Park.

To ensure the safety of runners and spectators, the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office is responsible for closing and reopening lanes on roads along the course. There will be a police officer at each intersection along the circuit and officers will attempt to allow cars through when there is a safe opportunity. Proper planning and knowledge of lane closure schedules should help avoid major disruptions.

The inside lane of the following streets will be closed to traffic from 6:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. to accommodate runners:

  • Lake Woodlands Drive: Westbound from Lakeside Boulevard to Golden Sage Drive
  • Lake Woodlands Drive: Head east from Golden Sage Drive to Windward Cove

The following areas will be closed to vehicle traffic from 6:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. to accommodate racers:

  • Lake Woodlands – East from East Panther Creek to Lake Front Circle (Windward Cove residents have access to the neighborhood). All remaining traffic will be detoured to Woodlands Parkway.
  • Lake Woodlands Bridge – Eastbound lanes from Lakeside Boulevard to Lake Front Circle

Residents are urged to avoid delays and use alternative routes around the race. Complete information about this event, including estimated lane openings and route maps, can be found online at thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov/10fortexas.
