Appalachian Power releases recovery update that runs through Thursday

TRI-CITIES (WJHL) – Appalachian Power Company released an updated power restoration list Wednesday evening. The company said nearly 7,500 workers from 30 states are working together to restore power in certain parts of Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia.

The list is as follows:

• Wednesday, October 2nd, 6 p.m for the Christiansburg and Grundy, Virginia areas. Some outages in Grundy, Virginia, will be extended until Thursday, October 3rd.

• Wednesday, October 2nd, 11 p.m for the Kingsport, Tennessee region.

• Wednesday, October 2nd, 11 p.m for the Clintwood, Lebanon and Tazewell, Virginia areas. Some outages in Lebanon and Tazewell will continue through Thursday, October 3rd.

• Thursday, October 3rd, 6 p.m for the Glen Lyn, Virginia region.

• Thursday, October 3rd, 11 p.m for the Bluefield, W.Va. area.

• Thursday, October 3rd, 11 p.m for the blueField, Gate City, Glade Spring, Roanoke, Woodlawn, Wytheville, Virginia, areas.
