The 9th edition of ICC Women's T20 World Cup begins on Thursday, October 3, 2024, in the United Arab Emirates. The ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2024 was initially scheduled to take place in Bangladesh, but given the ongoing unrest in the country, the ICC decided to shift the venue to the United Arab Emirates for the safety of the players. However, Bangladesh is still considered to be the host of the tournament.

ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2024 format

For the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2024, the ICC has divided the 10 qualified teams into two groups of five teams each. The teams will play one game against the four other teams in their group from October 3rd to 15th. The top two teams in each group qualify for the semi-finals on October 17th and 18th. The winners of these two semi-finals will then compete against each other in the final on October 20th.

All 23 matches of the tournament will be played in Sharjah and Dubai.
