Doh! Watch UFC fighters get KTFO – by following the advice of the legendary MMA trainer

Oops!

It's been four days since the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Lightweight Tariffs Ziam melted Matt Frevola at UFC Paris with an absolutely brutal knee from the Accor Arena in Paris, France (see highlights).

French broadcaster RMC Sport Combat has released new footage of the knockout sequence… from the corner's perspective. While it's sad to see a trainer witness his fighter fall unconscious, it's also rather hilarious because of the circumstances in which it happened.

In the clip the legendary head coach Ray Longowhose four fighters became UFC champions, tells his fighter Frevola to “turn around” as Ziam stands with his back to the cage. Well, Frevola actually turned around; However, it directly hit Ziam's knee, rendering him unconscious.

Longo's face looked like he had seen a ghost, and Frevola's other cornerman was super disappointed.

Coach cams have become very popular in UFC broadcasts over the years, and sometimes they deliver gold this way.

Frevola responded to the clip of him going to sleep on Twitter.

“Hard to watch [because] I hate to let my team down and see it like this,” Frevola wrote.

“I did what I was taught, fight with my hands and face him in a good stance to fight in the clinch. Ray told me to turn around and look at him, which is right. Jimmy told me he wanted the knee, which we knew. Was just a perfect high knee with his build and accuracy. All I can do is take my hat off and carry on.”

Frevola suffered a fractured left eye socket and is on a two-fight losing streak.
