CashToken Rewards Africa gives hope to YabaTech students Michael and Jessica

Education is meant to be a gateway to a better future, but for many students the path comes with overwhelming financial challenges.

As part of their ongoing mission to support everyday Nigerians, CashToken rewards Africa started the CashToken Hope campaignThey visit schools and communities to find those who need financial help.

When the team visited Yaba College of Technology (YabaTech)They met two remarkable students –Michael Babatunde And Jessica Igwe– both face financial difficulties but are determined to continue their education.

Micheal, a final year student at YabaTech, was the first to share his story with the CRA team. Since his first year, it has been a constant struggle to keep up with his training.

It wasn't just the school fees or project costs that weighed on him, it was everything.

Diet, attending classes and purchasing supplies presented constant challenges, and Micheal spoke openly about how difficult things had been. “It’s been tough since my freshman year,” he told the team.

When the team heard Michael's story, they knew they had to do something worthwhile. It wasn't just about hearing him out – it was about taking action.

Recognizing his determination to complete his training despite the difficulties, CashToken Rewards Africa offered Michael ₦100,000 to ease the financial burden weighing on him. His surprise and joy at this support made it clear that this gesture was much more than just money, it was a sign of hope.

Jessica Igwe, a 400-level student Marine sciencesHe was another student who stood out on the team.

To afford her education, Jessica ran a small business while balancing her demanding academic schedule. Jessica's story was one of resilience and dedication as she balanced her studies with running a small business to make ends meet.

School had been demanding, and the pressure of managing both her studies and her business was a constant strain on her. However, she persevered and showed the strength that CRA admires.

Given her commitment, CRA recognized the efforts Jessica had made despite the difficult economic times and offered her support ₦100,000 to help her with school fees and expenses.

Their gratitude was immediate and heartfelt, a reminder that even the smallest acts of kindness can have a tremendous impact.

At a time when financial difficulties make it difficult for students to focus on their education, CashToken rewards Africa continues to be a leader in providing hope and support where it is needed most.

Micheal and Jessica's stories reflect the reality of many students across Nigeria, and CashToken Rewards Africa's intervention demonstrates their commitment to ensuring that no student is left behind due to financial hardship.
