Boys soccer action in the Frontier League

WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) – Boys soccer was the name of the game in the Frontier League on Wednesday.

In Adams boys Frontier League soccer, the South Jefferson Spartans hosted the General Brown Lions.

– The Spartans struck after 10 minutes when Chase Waite found the back of the net to give South Jeff a 1-0 lead.

– South Jeff extends its lead with just under 10 minutes left in the first half when Regan Lawlee scores via PK. It's 2-0 for South Jeff.

– 15 seconds before the end of the first half, Nate Matteson fires a yarn-tingling shot to make it 3-0.

South Jeff defeated General Brown 7-1.

In another Frontier League boys soccer competition, the Immaculate Heart Cavaliers hosted Carthage.

– The Cavaliers want to strike first, but Comets goalkeeper Gavin Hall makes the save.

– IHC with a good chance after the direct kick, but Hall keeps the ball outside the net.

– Carthage with a direct kick, but IHC goalkeeper Jameson Lettiere hits the ball over the crossbar.

Carthage and IHC played goalless.

The Panthers of Belleville Henderson hosted another Frontier League boys soccer competition in Copenhagen.

– It was another battle of goalkeepers. First half: Copenhagen goalkeeper Logan L'Huillier saves the Panthers' attempt.

– On the other hand, Belleville Henderson goalkeeper Kash Gordinier makes the stop, one of his four on the day.

Josh Hemingway scored two second-half goals for the Panthers to lead Belleville Henderson to a 2-0 win.
