TRAFFIC ALERT: Roadwork update on westbound Halfway Boulevard

HAGERSTOWN, MD (October 3, 2024) – The Washington County Division of Engineering announces that pavement resurfacing on the westbound lane of Halfway Boulevard will continue to progress this week, weather permitting, with milling continuing through Saturday, April 5. October 2024, should be completed. Once the milling process is complete, overlay work will begin from Sunday evening, October 6th to Friday morning, October 11th. The hot asphalt overlay is carried out during the night from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

A truck detour will be in place for all trucks using the eastbound lanes to access the northbound ramp of I-81, as shown in the attached map.

Please note that road closures will be in effect for the duration of the project and delays may occur.
