Arc Search, one of my favorite iPhone apps, is now available for Android

Earlier this year, Arc Search became one of my favorite iPhone apps of late. It's a browser app that's incredibly fast, has a very clean interface, and incredibly good AI functionality. Today the developers of Arc Search (The Browser Company) announced that the app is finally available for Android.

Starting October 3rd, you can download Arc Search on any Android device running Android 13 or later from the Google Play Store. The app is still in open beta and not all features of the iOS app are currently available. Regardless, it's still exciting to see one of this year's best iPhone apps officially land on Android.

If you've never used Arc Search before, getting started with the app is incredibly easy. When you open it, you will immediately be presented with a search bar where you can enter a URL or search query. Tapping the + icon will open a new tab that you can tap on Map icon in the bottom left corner to see all your open tabs/searches.

The real magic of Arc Search lies in the Find Me feature. After entering a search query/question, you can press “Go/Enter” to perform a normal Google search. Alternatively, you can tap the “Search for me” button.

When you do this, Arc Search's AI will automatically read multiple websites and generate an answer to your question. You'll get clearly defined answers, helpful background information, and source links so you know which sites Arc Search got its answers from. Find Me is easily one of my favorite ways to search the internet and I think you'll love it.

In addition to Browse for Me, Arc Search has ad blocker enabled by default. You can disable it if you want, but Arc Search blocks ads, banners, trackers, and pop-ups immediately.

Some of Arc Search's newer features, such as voice search and Raise to Call Arc, are not yet available. However, as the app goes through the beta process and eventually officially launches, it should achieve feature parity with its iOS sibling.
