Renato Moicano agrees with Chael Sonnen and wants a UFC fight with Justin Gaethje

Renato Moicano prefers Justin Gaethje fight over Dan Hooker

While Renato Moicano is looking to take a break after UFC Paris, he has no shortage of potential opponents. While Dan Hooker has named “Money,” Moicano has two other lightweights in mind. Here's what he said on the Show Me the Money podcast (via Bloody Elbow).

“To be completely honest, Paddy Pimblett is a good fight because he is famous, but I would rather fight him if we do The Ultimate Fighter because that will be fun and get a lot of attention.

“Otherwise I would rather face Justin Gaethje for a fight because I don't think Dan Hooker will win the fight, you know… He's had the opportunity now to say let's fight, but he says I'll give him a fight in Perth dodged; That’s not true, they didn’t offer me this fight.”

Former UFC icon Chael Sonnen recently shared his belief that Moicano vs. Gaethje was a no-brainer. It seems the Brazilian slugger is fine with that, although he also knows how lucrative a fight with Paddy Pimblett can be. Both Moicano and Pimblett have a common interest in being opposing trainers on The Ultimate Fighter.

What comes next for Moicano should be interesting, but UFC CEO Dana White told reporters that there is no rush to get him back in the Octagon.
