The tournament consists of a total of six teams and will last for three weeks until September 8. The DPL 2024 will also feature some prominent players who play in the IPL like Ishant Sharma, Ayush Badoni, etc.

Which teams will participate in the Delhi Premier League 2024?

The 2024 DPL season will feature six teams in the men's edition and four in the women's edition. In today's story with The Sporting News, we take a look at all the details about the men's edition.

The six teams are composed as follows:

  • South Delhi Superstarz
  • Purani Dilli 6
  • Kings in the centre of Delhi
  • Strikers in North Delhi
  • West Delhi Lions
  • Driver from East Delhi

What is the format of the Delhi Premier League 2024?

The men's edition of the inaugural season of the Delhi Premier League will see six teams compete in a round-robin format in over 30 matches over three weeks. After the group stage, the top four teams will compete in Semi-Final 1 and Semi-Final 2, which will be played on September 6 and 7 respectively.

The winners of both semi-finals will compete in the final on September 8th to determine the first DPL champion.

When will the Delhi Premier League 2024 matches start?

All matches from the first game to the final will take place either in 2:00 p.m. or 19:00 IST. All matches are scheduled to be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
