Man, brother and father charged with kidnapping after holding naked teenager in vehicle

Greece, NY – A man, his brother and his father are facing kidnapping charges after he confronted a boy at an apartment building and they helped him kidnap the victim, according to Greek police.

Officers responded to the Glenora Gardens apartment complex shortly before 3:45 p.m. Saturday for a threat report and said they found five juveniles and three men at the scene.

Investigators determined that at least one juvenile, a 13-year-old boy, entered a residence and was confronted by Jayquon Martin, 25.

Martin allegedly brandished a rifle, threatened the teenager, forcibly restrained him in an apartment for about 45 minutes, ordered him to undress, took his phone and cut off his hair with scissors.

Police said Martin then contacted his brother Mikquon Williams, 22, and father Lennis Williams, 53, to help him kidnap the young victim and handcuff him.

“This is not a neighborhood you would see like that,” said Joe Eckert, who lives in the complex. “It's very quiet, children are playing in the street, there's not much going on”

Officers reported seeing Mikquon and Lennis Williams sitting in the back seat of a vehicle on either side of the naked and handcuffed victim.

Martin is charged with kidnapping, criminal use of a firearm, robbery, criminal possession of a weapon and criminal mischief. His father and brother are charged with kidnapping.

Eckert says he now fears for his safety and hopes other residents of the complex remain vigilant.

“Just be careful, lock your doors and stay alert,” he said. “These days there’s always someone around the corner who wants to cause harm.”

All three suspects were arraigned and held on $2,500 bail, $5,000 insurance bond or $7,500 partially secured bond.

Police said the victim was not physically injured.
