INDIANAPOLIS, IN. – In the penultimate event of their fall season, the Loyola Chicago women's golf team placed ninth out of 17 teams at the Butler Invitational.

The Ramblers finished the tournament with a team score of 51 over par (+25, +10, +16). The team's second-round performance of 10 over par was Loyola's best round of the season and was also the tournament's best in that round. Youngstown State took the team victory with a score of 23 over par, while Butler's Kelli Scheck took the individual playoff title with a score of 1 over par.

“Overall, I felt like we did a lot of good things over the last two days,” said head coach Brandy Johnston. “In the opening round we struggled on the back nine, which hurt us in the standings, but we bounced back in the second round with our best team result of the season. Today we fought and made some pars, which was great to see.”

For the second time this season, Loyola was led by Senior Cate Reisingerwho finished the Butler Invitational in a tie for sixth place with a score of six over par (+3, -1, +4). Reisinger's performance in this tournament was marked by a number of successes.
