iOS 18.0.1 is coming soon with bug fixes for iPhone and iPad [Update]

The account has shared details about upcoming iOS software updates on several occasions. According to the account, iOS 18.0.1 will have build number 22A3370.


According to 9to5Mac Analytics, Apple is currently testing iOS 18.0.1. This update will likely include fixes for a few different bugs that iPhone and iPad users have reported. It comes two and a half weeks after the release of iOS 18 for iPhone users.

iOS 18.0.1 is coming soon

iOS 18.0.1 testing appears to be in its early stages as there are early signs of the release 9to5Macs Analytics has only appeared in the last few days. MacRumors also discovered evidence of iOS 18.0.1 in its analyses. The update is expected to be released in the next few days.

Since the release of iOS 18 earlier this month, there have been a reduced number of notable bugs and glitches. For example, there's an issue in Messages that causes the app to crash repeatedly and can lead to data loss, as we first discovered last week. Some iOS 18 and iPhone 16 users have also experienced issues with touchscreen responsiveness, as we reported over the weekend.

Notably, Apple also pulled iPadOS 18 for the M4 iPad Pro after users reported that it broke their devices. Apple stopped that The update was rolled out last week and is yet to be re-released for M4 iPad Pro users. Apple has confirmed to engineers that it is working on a solution but did not announce a schedule. iPadOS 18.0.1 is expected to be released alongside iOS 18.0.1.

While iOS 18.0.1 will focus on bug fixes and other improvements, Apple is also working on iOS 18.1. This update includes the first Apple Intelligence features and a number of other changes. Apple has confirmed that iOS 18.1 will be released sometime in October.
