EMMITSBURG, Md. (October 2, 2024) – After a week-long break from conference action at the Bucknell Invitational, the men's water polo team heads west for a tour of California. They face Biola and CUI before facing California Baptist, Loyola Marymount, Air Force and Pomona-Pitzer in the Gary Troyer tournament.

MOUNT UPDATE

After a difficult week with MAWP conference opponents in Lewisburg, the Mount has a 2-10 record and a 1-4 conference record.

Aaron Tarr recorded 13 assists in three games at the invitational and scored three goals. Sherif Hosni And Vasilije Marinkovic combined for 38 saves over the weekend between the sticks. And Alexandros Bellesis scored 10 goals in the weekend's three games.

The opponents

The Mountaineers are 2-2 against Biola, with their last result on Sept. 8 ending in a 15-14 win for the Eagles. The Mount will face California Baptist for the second time in program history in the Gary Troyer Tournament. Their last meeting in 2022 ended with a 25-12 win for the Lancers. The last meeting between the Mount and Air Force ended in a 20-8 victory for the Falcons. The Tour of California features the Mount's first-ever meeting between CUI, Loyola Marymount and Pomona-Pitzer.
