John Amos' cause of death has been revealed

The cause of death of actor John Amos has been revealed.

According to his death certificate, obtained by TMZ, the star died of heart failure.

The certificate issued by LA County also states that the “Good Times” actor died at 5:18 p.m. on August 21 at Inglewood Hospital in Inglewood, California.

He was 84.

Aside from his heart failure, no other medical conditions were listed and an autopsy was not performed.

Amos was cremated on August 30, only nine died after his death, according to the document. Amos' son, Kelly Christopher Amos, aka “KC,” notified LA County officials of the star's death. According to TMZ, the death certificate shows that KC was given his father's ashes after his cremation.
