Watch the annular solar eclipse on Wednesday, October 2nd; as you can see it

It's an exciting day for solar eclipse lovers. The second solar eclipse of 2024 will be visible from parts of South America, the Pacific Ocean, the Atlantic Ocean and Antarctica on October 2nd. This solar eclipse is called an annular solar eclipse. Some may call it a “ring of fire.”

What is an annular solar eclipse?

During an annular solar eclipse, the moon moves directly between the Earth and the sun. The Sun will be 86% covered by the Moon. The visible part is the outer surface of the sun. This is where the nickname “Ring of Fire” comes from.

The solar eclipse will last approximately 223 minutes. Viewing with the naked eye can be quite dangerous without using a solar filter. Therefore, the use of eye protection is essential.
