A man was arrested after a robbery outside a bank, according to Sevierville police

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – Sevierville police arrested a suspected bank robber on Tuesday, police announced Wednesday.

It happened around 5 p.m. when officers responded to the Tennessee State Bank at 161 Forks of the River Parkway, SPD said.

“When the officers arrived, the suspected perpetrator was leaving the bank with a bag of money,” said the SPD.

The department identified the suspect as 35-year-old Joshua Watson of Sevierville. No further information was released.
