How to choose a watch on Prime Day

The three steps to choosing a watch on Prime Day are as follows: choose your price and size, find your preferred look, and then look again.

Choosing a price for your Prime Day watch is different than normal times. The highest quality watches are not offered for sale in bulk like others. That's simply not necessary. But mid-range and low-end watches have a chance of really dropping in price at this point. Finally, remember that you really don't need to spend $1,000 or multiples of that amount to get a great watch. Something inexpensive to give you the time without interacting with your phone and starting doom scrolling will do the trick.

Next, take a look at the watches in this price range. Just look and absorb quick unconscious feelings. Maybe you like metallic watches or prefer organic ceramics. Do you prefer stately black or intense yellow watches? Is the design simple, like a clock, or strange and abstract? Let your gut feeling speak for itself.

Once you've finally decided on some discounted Prime Day watches, go back and take a look at the details. Are they smooth? Do they have transparent parts? Double-check that the size is right for your wrist, look for a date window, and find out what other additional dials (also called “complications”) do.

How We Chose These Prime Day Watch Deals

In many ways, creating a proper guide to Prime Day watch deals is a nightmare. The space is large and you are likely to ignore others' tastes. Watches can be practical, casual, luxurious or silly curiosities and everyone has their own perspective.

Here we have focused on affordable offerings from well-received brands. We found watches in a variety of colors and styles, giving equal consideration to classic dials and unique offerings.

And of course, we found watches with good discounts and price points compared to other watches of their style, brand and manufacturer. Whenever two watches occupied the same niche, we were guided by price and discount, as befits bargain writers.
