Brooklyn Park police searching for vehicle involved in hit-and-run

Brooklyn Park Police are asking for the public's help in locating a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run accident Wednesday morning.

According to police, around 8:40 a.m. on Oct. 2, a 12-year-old girl was struck by a vehicle near 63rd Avenue and Boone Avenue. She crossed the street to get to her school bus stop.

The driver fled the scene after the accident.

According to police, the 12-year-old was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The suspect is a white woman of unknown age. Police do not believe there were any passengers in the vehicle.

Investigators are looking for a white painted 2015-2019 Hyundai Sonata that is missing the passenger side mirror.

Police ask anyone with information about the vehicle or the incident to call 763-493-8222.
