Texas DPS honoring fallen Highway Patrol Trooper Kevin Vasquez

HOCKLEY, Texas – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has announced a public visitation and funeral to honor the life and legacy of fallen State Trooper Kevin Alexis Ramirez Vasquez.

Vasquez sadly died in the line of duty on September 28th after he was struck by a vehicle while investigating an accident earlier that month in Ector County.

The family has invited friends and the public to attend services on Thursday, October 3, from 9 a.m. to noon to pay their respects to the fallen soldier.

Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. at the Community of Faith Church at the corner of Becker Road and US 290, just outside Houston.

Friday's graveside services are reserved for invited guests only.

Trooper Ramirez Vasquez proudly served the State of Texas, as well as in the U.S. Army and National Guard, with military honors being presented at the ceremony.
