Kevin Holland excoriates bums who complain about paying UFC fighters: 'You want to get paid for the shit you don't do'

UFC middleweight contender Kevin Holland has some thoughts on certain fighters who complain about pay.

“Trailblazer” hasn’t been seen in the cage since his submission win over Michal Oleksiejczuk in June. This win at UFC 302 got Kevin Holland back on track and ended the fan favorite's two-fight losing streak. This Saturday night in Salt Lake City he will look to keep his momentum going against Roman Dolidze.

Earlier today, Kevin Holland appeared at the UFC 307 media day. There he was asked what he wanted fans to remember him for. During the press call, Holland responded that he would be happy if fans remembered his willingness to fight, no matter when. However, the middleweight also targeted fighters who are less active than him.

During the media day discussion, Kevin Holland criticized fighters who complain about UFC pay. According to Trailblazer, the pay is okay as long as you're as active as he is. In his view, many of those who complain about fighters' pay don't come into the cage very often anyway.

“That I'm an active wanker.” Kevin Holland responded when asked how he wanted UFC fans to always think of him. “You know what I mean? At the end of the day, it's like I did a little electrical work beforehand [fighting]. My grandma and grandpa owned a janitorial business, so I knew how to work nine to five, clock in hours and do a job to get paid.”

He continued: “Half of these people walking around are talking about 'We don't get enough, we don't get enough, we don't get enough.'” No, you don't even fight enough. It's like at the end of the day you want to get paid to do things you don't do. Sounds like a fucking bum to me.”

“Remember,” Kevin Holland concluded his remarks at UFC 307 media day. “I wasn’t a bum like the rest of these guys.”
