We can offer you more Reaction from southern Lebanon Now, after the Iranian attack on Israel.

Some, like Nada from Nabataea in southern Lebanon, believe the Iranian attack will scupper Israel's plans to continue its ground invasion and air strikes on southern Lebanon.

She fled her house with her family about two weeks ago.

“I think we can return to our homeland soon. In my opinion, Israel now knows what to expect if it continues its aggression.”

I ask her: But what happens if Israel attacks Iran?

“Israel wouldn’t dare. If this is the case, Iran will do more than it has already done.

“Iran can defend itself,” she tells me.

Her neighbor Hanan, sitting next to her, disagrees: “I think World War III has started and it will be devastating for everyone. We have already lost our house and our leader is gone. But many more will lose their lives and their homes.”
