Ghostlight Players presents Noel Coward's comedy Blithe Spirit until October 12th.

STATEN ISLAND, NY – Ghostlight Players launches its 2024/2025 season with Noel Coward's classic comedy “Blithe Spirit,” directed by Ariel Marcus-Hollenbeck.

Blithe Spirit will be performed over two weekends from October 3 to 12 at Hemsley Hall, 4 Arthur Kill Rd, the rectory of St Andrew's Church.

Audiences are invited to immerse themselves in the ghostly world of this witty and whimsical masterpiece, which promises an evening of laughter and spooky fun.

This story tells the story of prominent British writer Charles Condomine, whose seemingly innocent séance to collect material for his new book takes an unexpected turn. But when the medium Madame Arcati accidentally summons the spirit of Charles' first wife, Elvira, she throws his marriage to his current wife Ruth into trouble.

The cast includes Jai Sada as Charles Condomine, Robyn Ruehl as Elvira, Katlyn Cohen-Canka as Ruth, Marybeth Vinci as Madame Arcati, Mike Veasey as Dr. Bradman, Roseann Marcus as Mrs. Bradman and Daniela Favaloroas as Edith/The Widow.

The Blithe Spirit set was designed by Adrienne Ferretti. Also involved are Ariel Marcus-Hollenbeck (sound), Scaramouche (costumes), Victoria Gullo (makeup), Nick Diaz (projection design) and Katie Scibelli (technical director). Kieran Graulich (assistant director), Lauren Keffler (dramaturg). Kat Sciortino is a lighting designer and production manager.

The performance times are Thursdays, October 3rd and 10th, at 8 p.m., Fridays, October 4th and 11th, Saturdays, October 5th and 12th, and Sunday, October 6th, at 3 p.m

Ticket prices are $25 for adults and $22 for seniors and students.
