Court documents say Torres slammed a laptop on a woman he was with.

He also allegedly pulled her to the ground with a handcuff that he placed around her wrist and threatened to verbally abuse her.

Torres is expected to make his first court appearance Wednesday evening.

Houston police said Torres has been relieved of duty pending further investigation by the Internal Affairs Division.

HPD said Torres was assigned to the Midwest Patrol Division.
