ALDS matchup, schedule, how to watch it – NBC New York

The Division Series in the 2024 MLB Playoffs is almost set and the top-seeded Yankees now know who they will play in the best-of-five series.

New York, which reached No. 1 in the American League with a career-best 94 regular-season wins, will host the Kansas City Royals. The No. 5 team completed a two-game win over the No. 4 Baltimore Orioles at Camden Yards on Wednesday with strong pitching (allowing just one run in two games) and just enough timely hitting.

Also in the American League, the No. 6 Detroit Tigers won the Wild Card Series in two games and beat the No. 3 Houston Astros on the road. The Astros had reached the American League Championship Series in seven consecutive years before their surprise exit on Wednesday.

The Tigers will travel to Cleveland to play the Guardians.

On the National League side, the No. 1 Los Angeles Dodgers and No. 2 Philadelphia Phillies are waiting to see who they will play.

Kansas City and Detroit now compete in the Division Series, where the No. 1 New York Yankees and the No. 2 Cleveland Guardians of the American League and the No. 1 Los Angeles Dodgers and the No. 2 Philadelphia Phillies of the American League National League waiting for you.
