1 dead, 1 injured in Philadelphia shooting; Escaping suspect crashes into SEPTA bus

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — One person is dead and another was injured after shots were fired in the Mantua neighborhood of Philadelphia on Wednesday evening.

It happened at 40th and Brown Streets around 10:15 p.m.

Police have not identified the deceased victim.

The second victim, who was an adult male, was shot in the thigh. He was taken to an area hospital. His condition is still unknown.

According to police, a fleeing suspect crashed into a SEPTA bus traveling the wrong way. After the collision, the suspect fled on foot.
