No. 24 Auburn Volleyball will host Georgia, Texas A&M

The No. 24 Auburn Tigers look to continue their SEC winning streak when Georgia and Texas A&M come to Neville Arena this weekend.

The newly ranked Tigers got off to a hot start to the season, outscoring their opponents again this year with an impressive 12-1 record. Last week, Auburn defeated No. 12 Kentucky in four sets and beat Alabama in five sets, establishing itself as one of the top teams in the country. Head coach Brent Couch continues to expect the best from his team, and with players like Madison Scheer and Bella Bell, that expectation doesn't seem so crazy.

Scheer and Bell led the Tigers in both games last weekend, with a total of 52 kills between both players. Scheer and Bell continue to put up stats comparable to the best outside hitters in the country.

Defensively, Auburn has allowed the lowest shooting percentage in the SEC in this year's conference at 0.155%, a full 0.1% less than second-place Arkansas.

Georgia hasn't had the start to the season it had hoped for, hosting a 6-5 record and winless in conference play so far this year. Outside attackers Sophie Fischer and Bianna Muoneke lead the Bulldogs in kills this season and have comparable stats to Auburn stars Scheer and Bell. Expect Georgia setter Clara Brower, who has 447 assists this year, to provide strong support for Fischer and Muoneke on Friday night as the Bulldogs look for the upset win on the road.

On Sunday afternoon, the Tigers take on a strong Texas A&M team that has a 10-2 record heading into the match. The Aggies have one of the best hitters in the country in Logan Lednicky, responsible for 1,048.0 points in just 12 games, and they expect her to continue her dominance this weekend. With 482 assists this year, transfer player Maddie Waak will do everything she can to put Lednicky and her team on the path to success.

Coverage of both games will begin at 6:30 p.m. for Auburn vs. Georgia and 2:00 p.m. for Auburn vs. Texas A&M on SEC Network+.
